While it was awesome to kick off the 2022 IDPA season with a local match at The Range St. Louis West, it was also the first match since @compgunner ditched town for warmer digs. Most everyone reading this will know Grant, but if you don’t, not only is he one of the biggest fish in our little IDPA pond, but he is also one of my best friends, as well as being my constant training and travel partner for several years now.
It was a fast match, the kind he would have used to get even faster, so I tried to do the same thing in his stead. Also like Grant, I pushed until the wheels started to come off (in this case, at the reloads), but managed to hold on for the win.
We shot 5 quick stages. I won 2 of them, Ryan won 2 more, and Casey owned the F.A.S.T. drill.
