Still deeply affected by last month’s Covid-19 experience, getting out to shoot a match at all is a big win. However, that was very nearly the only win I brought home from the Brittany Shooting Park October IDPA match. Luckily, there was also Stage 3, my only Stage win.
Coming off an unlikely win at Bench Rest the week before, I was very aware of how little movement was required in that match. This match was not the same and I let that get in my head. The stages were challenging as expected from this crew, and a lot of fun to try to figure out. Lots of tight shots and speed traps benefited the prepared shooter, and Kirk took advantage of that shooting a great match and coming out as High Pistol. Don also had a pretty fantastic match, especially on stage 4 where he burned it down.
Overall it was a great time, if not completely exhausting, from one of my favorite area matches.
